Before the motor car, this is how the Minho moved: at the calm, steady pace of a horse, between granite walls and vines trained high overhead. Aboard our traditional carriages, that memory takes to the road once more.

How it works
Every carriage ride is made to measure: tell us the occasion, the number of people and the atmosphere you are after, and we will design the route — from the country lanes of Areosa to town routes arranged with the local authorities.
Our draught horses are used to crowds, music and movement, and the coachman knows every bend of these lanes.
Frequently asked questions
How many people can the carriage carry?
It depends on the carriage and the route — typically 2 to 4 adults plus the coachman. For larger groups we arrange several rounds or more than one carriage.
Do you cover weddings and festivals?
Yes — it is one of our specialities. We decorate the carriage beautifully and coordinate timings and route with the event organisers. For the Romaria d'Agonia, book well in advance!
Is it accessible for people with reduced mobility?
The carriage has an access step; with advance notice, we arrange help getting in and out. Tell us about your specific needs so we can make sure the experience is a comfortable one.
