Horse Boarding

Your horse's second home, by the sea

Duration: Monthly or short-stay

Season: All year round

Your horse deserves to wake up to sea air. Our equestrian centre in Areosa offers permanent and short-stay boarding in a calm setting, with steady routines and a team that has lived for horses since 2009.

The facilities

  • Spacious, airy stables, mucked out daily with bedding that’s always dry
  • Paddocks for hours of freedom every single day
  • Riding arena for lunge work or ridden schooling
  • And best of all, right on the doorstep: beach, pine forest and mountain trails to ride all year round

Day-to-day care

Feeding two to three times a day, tailored to each horse (age, workload, body condition), fresh water at all times, daily paddock turnout — and the watchful eye of people who know every animal by name, quirks and all.

We coordinate vaccinations, worming and shoeing with your own vet and farrier, or with the trusted partners we’ve worked with for years.

Short stays

On holiday in the Minho with your horse? Riding the coastal Camino de Santiago? We keep stables available for short stays — a night, a week or a month — with exactly the same care our residents enjoy.

Can I ride my horse at your facilities and on the trails?

Of course — it's one of the great advantages: a riding arena at your disposal and, right on the doorstep, the finest trails in the Minho, from beach to mountain.

How is veterinary care handled?

You're entirely free to use your own vet and farrier; if you prefer, we'll coordinate with the professionals who have worked with us for years. In an emergency we act immediately and let you know straight away.
